Field Notes: Tokyo MICE Venues in 2026 — What's Changed

Tokyo Big Sight expanded Hall 7 in late 2025, adding 15,000 sqm of column-free exhibition space to the east wing. This materially changes delegate throughput calculations for events above 1,200 people.

Pacifico Yokohama's National Convention Hall remains the go-to for under 5,000 plenary formats. The 2025 AV refresh added LED volumes and a distributed audio system that eliminated the dead-spot complaints from the rear third.

Two newer venues worth noting: the Azabudai Hills Conference Centre in Minato-ku, which opened Q3 2024, combines boutique scale (up to 400 theatre) with a premium address; and the renovated Shinagawa Prince Hotel Conference Tower, where the board-level AV fit-out is now genuinely world-class.
