Cherry Blossom Season 2026: What Incentive Planners Need to Know

Cherry blossom season in Japan lasts approximately two weeks per location — the shortest luxury window in travel. Getting the timing right requires reading the JMA forecast, understanding the micro-climates, and booking contingency dates.

For 2026, full bloom is projected in Tokyo around March 22nd, Kyoto around March 28th, and Yoshino's mountain sakura in early April. A well-structured incentive itinerary can catch two or even three peaks by routing southward to northward.
